Hola, soy Natalia Carretero García pintora y diseñadora gráfica graduada en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Trabajo desde 2019 bajo el nombre de NaCar, un juego de abreviaciones de NAtalia CARretero. Incursiono en distintas disciplinas: el dibujo, la pintura al óleo, el gouache, la acuarela, la tinta, la pintura acrílica y la pintura digital. Mi obra se enriquece con distintas técnicas de ejecución pictórica dentro de cada lienzo, dotando a cada pieza de una identidad única.
Mi práctica investiga el "Gótico Serrano" mediante una nueva figuración de umbral que hibrida el figurativismo clásico, el legado iconográfico europeo con la cultura digital (RA). En este Gótico Serrano exploro la crisis de valores y el colapso de la modernidad con la estética como resistencia. Mi trabajo rompe la tradición del formato paralelepípedo mediante estructuras romboides que desafían la superficie plana.
Hello, I am Natalia Carretero García, a painter and graphic designer graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid. I have been working since 2019 under the name NaCar, a play on the abbreviations of NAtalia CARretero. I dabble in different disciplines: drawing, oil painting, gouache, watercolor, ink, acrylic painting, and digital painting. My work is enriched with various pictorial execution techniques within each piece, giving each one a unique identity within a harmonized body of work. My practice redefines Figurative Art through the concept of Sierra Gothic: a reclamation of the Gothic as a state of the soul under Mediterranean light, challenging its historical appropriation as exclusive Nordic or Germanic heritage. I conceive painting as a hybrid installation that, by breaking the hegemony of the parallelepiped format, deploys the rhombus as a liminal narrative device. This Threshold Figuration expands into a Digital Stained Glass (AR), transforming mineral silence and horror vacui into an architecture of resistance that challenges both the contemporary crisis of perception and imposed aesthetic narratives.
